Samsung's shorter cartridge for older French door and side-by-side models. Often confused with DA29-00020B because both are internal twist-locks.
About this cartridge
DA29-00003G is shorter and wider than the 00020B. It carries the HAFIN retail codes and is fitted to Samsung models from the late 2000s and early 2010s, many of which are still in service.
Certified to 42 and 53 at 300 gallons. The most reliable way to tell the two apart is to look at the collar: the 00003G has a wide flange, the 00020B a narrow one.

Which refrigerators it fits
Samsung has not published a model-level list for this cartridge that we can verify, so we do not publish one either. The number on the cartridge you are removing is the reliable check.

- Turn the old cartridge a quarter turn counter-clockwise and pull it straight out. Keep a towel under it — a few ounces of water will come out.
- Remove the protective cap from the new cartridge and check that the O-rings are seated flat in their grooves.
- Push it in and turn clockwise until it stops. Run two to three gallons through the dispenser to flush carbon fines, then reset the indicator.
