About this cartridge
DA97-17376B is a flat, wide cartridge that slides into a covered housing on the interior left wall. It shares nothing with DA29-00020B except the twist-lock idea.
It carries 42, 53 and 401 certification — the only Samsung cartridge in this set with a pharmaceutical claim — and is rated at 300 gallons or six months.

These part numbers refer to the same physical cartridge. If the number on your old filter is in this list, this is the right replacement.
Does not fit DA29-00020B housings. If your old cartridge is a slim cylinder, this is the wrong part.

- Turn the old cartridge a quarter turn counter-clockwise and pull it straight out. Keep a towel under it — a few ounces of water will come out.
- Remove the protective cap from the new cartridge and check that the O-rings are seated flat in their grooves.
- Push it in and turn clockwise until it stops. Run two to three gallons through the dispenser to flush carbon fines, then reset the indicator.
